The MD

Neville has started and developed many of the most important products in the UK Mobile Telecommunications arena.

  • 1987 Director of a Vodafone Service Provider.
  • 1989 Founded the company that became Cortel Telecom Ltd
  • 1990 Established Bundled Mobile Calls with Cellnet
  • 1992 Created Prepay with Vodafone. This was to enable International Companies to have mobile handsets on the UK network before inter-country payments and credit lines were easily available.

Developed Unlimited Calls packages with Vodafone for mobile tariffs when mobile calls were still prohibitively expensive. Responsible for the current mobile usage outstripping fixed lines by 4 to 1 and making remote working much simpler and cheaper.

Joined Cortel Telecom in 1993 as an apprentice.

Kaf has been responsible for developing new systems for some of the best companies in the UK and others from abroad including from the USA, Portugal and the Middle East. We estimate that 85% of all business Kaf has managed has come from a referral.

In 2010 and 2011 at the height of the fallout from the 2008 financial collapse, Cortel were one of the only companies that carried on expanding and he produced the best results of any UK reseller, growing customers and average revenue but even more impressive, the lowest disconnections for Vodafone at 1.5% against the average of 28% nationwide.

Khusro Haider

General Service Manager

Joined Cortel Telecom in 2004.

Shortly after finishing his Masters in Information System from the University of Sunderland. Carried out support roles in telecom service and IT. Promoted to Fixed Telecom Services Manager to look after service and projects. Specialise in providing IP telephony, Leased lines fibre connectivity, and structured cabling including infrastructure-based Wireless networks.

Jono Hough-Hill

Mobile Service Team Leader

Joined Cortel in August 2021

After ten years at Carphone Warehouse where he worked across sales and management. Jono leads the Mobile Customer Service team here at Cortel – ensuring our clients get the support they need, when they need it. Primarily focusing on Mobile Support, he and the team are always on hand to help via email or phone with urgent issues or just advice.
